“Hurricane Preparedness”

(presented by the City of Clearwater and the American Red Cross)

ARE YOU READY?

Now is the time to make sure you are fully prepared for hurricane season, when the weather is not threatening!

On Tuesday, July 23, Jevon Graham (Division Chief of Emergency Management, Clearwater Fire & Rescue) and Janson Murphy (Disaster Program Manager, American Red Cross) will equip us with the knowledge and tools to be better prepared for the 2024 hurricane season, which began June 1 and runs through November 30.

They’ll cover topics such as knowing our risk, making a plan, staying informed, evacuation levels, flooding concerns, shelter options, hurricane kits (including items to keep during emergencies and items to take with us if we plan to evacuate). They will also inform us on things to be wary of, such as scammers who want to take advantage of us during and after hurricanes.

Tuesday, July 23, 2024, 10-10:30 a.m.

at the

Clearwater Historical Museum and Culture Center

610 S. Fort Harrison Ave., Clearwater FL

This FREE event is open to the community.

Please invite your friends and neighbors who are interested in knowing how to prepare for possible hurricanes.

We provide “helping hands” so older adults can age successfully, safely, and less expensively at home.
